recorder shotgun

Post by listenmyneighbor »

hi everyone

good news i just received my shotgun microphone
COMICA VM20, order on amazon.
is to tell you all I am doing tests, over long distances (because I live in the countryside), is for my first tests I placed my microphone in the corner of my window, (see photos) to record the environment, is precisely my neighbor was playing the guitar on the ground floor about 15m down from my house, plus the birds singing 500m πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰ 1km from the apartment, the result is excellent!!

is all this plugged into the microphone output of my laptop, is connected to audacity, for recording result without jargon .............EXCELLENT !!

Hi all,

following my last post, I'm on my shotgun comica, is good to tell you all, with a small amp plugged into Q,
this microphone is formidable!

here are the photos of my equipment and connection !

plus your male and female 3.5mm jack extension
once everything is connected, the small box plays the role of an amplifier, x10

frankly less audible, but with this shotgun microphone we hear very sincerely a lot of details from a distance, precisely I have in my possession a (binoculars rangefinder) to calculate the distance, is resulting up to at least 160m we hear very well all in positioning the microphone in the right direction!

Thanks a lot. How do affect the quality the other sounds (those Not in the target direction)?
